Day 4 - Inverannan – Bridge of Orchy  22miles After the previous evenings hilarity, we started the day in good heart and good weather. (This included Phil, who was suffering from the effects of the previous evening and had breakfasted on paracetamol). The first seven miles took us through Glen Falloch with a constant and steady climb for 3 hours. This is where we became more intimately acquainted with the old drovers and military roads; their heavily cobbled surfaces playing havoc with everyone’s feet and the source of much cursing over the coming days. Again the Dynamic Duo decided  that it was to be an anti social day and were soon off into the distance. We passed by the offshoot of the main trail to Crianlarich, and this signified that we were past the halfway mark of the walk. The end was now in sight theoretically, (closer than the beginning), as was the large conifer plantation that we were now entering which would occupy the next 2½ miles. Further on we stopped in Tyndrum for a lunch break, where we were welcomed by the DD just as they departed. Our final 7 miles of the day along the valley to the Bridge of Orchy would again consist of pounding along our beloved cobbled military roads. For much of it we had the road and railway for company, and were pleased when at 5.30 we eventually arrived at the Bunkhouse where we were staying. The accommodation in twin bedded rooms we found to be preferable to the youth hostel, although the food in the adjacent Bridge of Orchy Hotel was quite expensive.
